About McCarthy Heating Oil

McCarthy Oil was founded in 1961 by James Sr., his wife, Mary, and their son, James Jr., operating out of the basement of their home. As time went on, the business grew and another son, Joseph, joined his family in the industry.

     McCarthy Oil was founded in 1961 by James Sr., his wife, Mary, and their son, James Jr., operating out of the basement of their home. As time went on, the business grew and another son, Joseph, joined his family in the business.

     James Jr. served as President of the company for 47 years. He treated all his employees and customers just like family. He was easy to talk to and ALWAYS greeted you with a smile on his face. He always felt that a handshake was as good as his word. He loved his job and never thought of it as work. 

     His son, Michael, is President, and his daughter, Kelly, is Company Secretary of the family-run business. Along with the office staff, oil drivers, and service technicians, McCarthy Oil will continue to serve their customers the way James Sr. and James Jr. did for the past 65 years.

     We are now four generations strong and continuing to grow every day. We will deeply miss James, "Shay", but will keep his memory forever in our hearts!
